Qu Wang, MA

Short Biography
I am a graduate of Nanjing University, China, where I received my MA degree in Sociology. I also obtained the interdisciplinary academic training in the Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies (HNC). After my graduation, I joined a research team in HNC, where I start my research in the field of health and human development. I then became a research fellow in the Center for Human and Economic Development Studies, Peking University. My research interests in the field of human development are health equity, health governance, social determinants of health, and maternal and child health. In the past years, I have been co-working with my colleagues in some important research projects in these related areas in China, and am now especially interested in the equity issue in maternal and child health in the perspective of governance. In my spare time, I enjoy very much practicing Chinese calligraphy, paper-cutting, traveling, and playing yoga, etc.
